Thank you for visiting Hohokam Middle School's website. Here you will find all kinds of information about what's going on at our school of sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. We are located in Coolidge, Arizona which is halfway between Phoenix and Tucson in the beautiful Sonoran Desert.
At Hohokam School, we are very proud of our excellent teachers and staff, our many parent volunteers, and especially our enthusiastic students. Together we make a great team, ensuring that all of our students reach their highest potential.
Take some time to browse through our website. You'll find links to general information for both parents and teachers (our Frequently Asked Questions page); an updated Calendar of events; a News and Events page where our awesome students and their accomplishments are highlighted; and a Helpful Links page where parents, teachers, and students will find all kinds of helpful and even just-for-fun educational sites. Be sure to visit our site often, as we frequently update it so as to keep you constantly aware of the great happenings at Hohokam School.
A Message from Principal Sullivan
Dear Bulldog School Community,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2013-2014 school year at Hohokam Middle School! We have spent the summer planning and preparing for a wonderful year of education and growth, and we look forward to our students returning on August 5 refreshed and ready to learn!
There are some changes in store for our bulldog community this year. To begin with, our start and end times have changed. School will start each day at 7:45 a.m. and end at 2:15 p.m. This will help facilitate a better bus schedule (no more waiting for 30+ minutes after school) and will support our student-athletes in not missing classes to attend their events. All students will take six 55-minute classes within the day and have a 30-minute lunch break.
We have hired several new teachers for the new school year, and they are all committed to supporting our goals of student achievement and success through education. Please feel free to stop by their classrooms during Back-to-School night and introduce yourself.
One personal goal that I have for Hohokam this year is to increase the parent and community involvement in our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). If you are interested in being part of this very worthwhile group of caring adults, please contact me and let me know.
Finally, I would like to extend my personal thank you to each one of you who worked hard during the 2012-2013 school year to make it one of Hohokam’s best. We came together as a learning community, and it showed! I look forward to working with all of you during the 2013-2014 school year to make it even better!
Your partner in education,
Cheryl M. Sullivan
